6-1, Hat-trick by Wissam,.. A historic victory for Al-Ahly against Belouizdad (Video)

Al-Ahly achieved a wide victory over Shabab Belouizdad with a score of 6-1, in the match that brought them together at Cairo International Stadium in the third round of the 2024-25 CAF Champions League groups.

Ayman Mahious surprised everyone by scoring the lead goal for the Algerian club in the 21st minute, after a shot that Mohamed El-Shennawy dealt with incorrectly, resulting in Marcel Koller’s squad falling behind.

But Wissam Abu Ali appeared in the final moments of the first half and scored the important equalizer, then he scored the second goal for the home team in the 51st minute from an ideal free kick.


Hussein El-Shahat took advantage of a defensive error to score the third goal for Al-Ahly in the 61st minute, and then a big “party” began for the Red Giant against the completely surrendered Belouizdad.


Wissam Abu Ali managed to score his first African hat-trick, after he shot a powerful ball from outside the penalty area that found its way into goalkeeper Mustafa Zeghba’s net in the 84th minute.

Percy Tau scored Al-Ahly’s fifth goal in the 86th minute, then Imam Ashour concluded the party with a sixth goal to restore confidence after the recent crises.

Wissam Abu Ali played 37 matches, during which he scored 27 goals and made 7 others, thus his average goals became a goal every 76 minutes with Al-Ahly.

Al-Ahly extended its unbeaten streak in the Champions League to 27 consecutive matches, which is the largest number in the history of the competition.

With this victory, Al-Ahly raised its score to 7 points to lead the group alone, while Orlando Pirates came in second place with 5 points, compared to 3 points for Chabab Belouizdad and one point for Stade d’Abidjan in last place.
