Saudi media reported that Cristiano Ronaldo will be punished after receiving a red card in the match between Al-Nasr and Al-Hilal in the Saudi Super Cup semi-finals.
According to journalist Walid Al-Farraj, Ronaldo has been confirmed to have been suspended for at least one match, which is the Al-Fayhaa match in the Saudi League next week.
At the same time, Ronaldo is facing a charge of “disgraceful behavior” for assaulting Ali Al-Bulaihi, and thus the suspension may extend to more than one match with a financial fine imposed.
The newspapers initially indicate that Ronaldo may be suspended for another match other than Al-Fayhaa due to the charge against him, meaning that he will miss the Al-Khaleej match the week after next.
The Saudi League Association will also impose a financial penalty of at least 20,000 riyals against the Portuguese star because of what he did towards Al-Bulayhi.
It is noteworthy that Ronaldo was suspended last March due to disgraceful behavior as well, after he made disgraceful movements to Al-Shabab fans.
