Kimmich’s header helps Bayern Munich pass to the semi-finals and heralds the title! (video)

Bayern Munich qualified for the 2024 Champions League semi-finals following a 1-0 victory over Arsenal at the Allianz Arena.

The first leg of the quarter-final match at the Emirates Stadium ended in a 2-2 draw, making the total of the two matches 3-2 in favor of the Bavarian club.

The only goal of the match came from Joshua Kimmich with a perfect header in the 62nd minute, giving Thomas Tuchel’s squad a pass to the semi-finals.

This is the third time in history that two teams from Germany have qualified for the semi-finals, and perhaps it heralds Bayern winning the seventh title in history, as the previous two times the title went to the red team.

The first time was in the 2012-13 season with Jupp Heynckes, and Bayern met Borussia Dortmund in the final and beat them 2-1 at Wembley Stadium.

The coincidence here is that Borussia Dortmund qualified for the semi-finals in this season’s edition, and the final will also be at Wembley Stadium.

The second time was in the 2019-20 season, when Leipzig qualified for the semi-finals but did not succeed in reaching the final, and Paris Saint-Germain arrived and was defeated by a goal from Kingsley Coman from Bayern Munich.
