Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that he intends to rely on Arda Guler in the match against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final on June 1.
The Turkish star continues to shine recently with Real Madrid, as he just scored the sixth goal in his tenth La Liga appearance with the Royal Club, during the Villarreal match on Sunday.
The 18-year-old became the youngest player in Real Madrid’s history to score this number of goals in his first 10 matches for the Merengue in La Liga.
After the match, Ancelotti expressed his happiness with what Guler is offering, and clearly announced that he intends to rely on him against Dortmund.
The Italian coach said, “Believe me, I will count on Guler, Brahim Diaz, and Joselu in the Champions League final.”
Logically, the chances of the trio participating in the starting lineup seem almost non-existent, as Ancelotti always tends to rely on Jude Bellingham, Rodrigo, and Vinicius Junior in the attacking line.
Guler did not participate in any Champions League match this season, but in light of his brilliance, he may appear for the first time in the most important battlefield in the final match.
