L’Equipe newspaper reported that there is a major crisis between Kylian Mbappe and his current club, Paris Saint-Germain, which is that the player has not received his salary in recent months.
According to the newspaper, PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi still does not believe that Mbappe has not renewed his contract with the club, and for this reason he decided to punish him in his own way.
The first punishment for Mbappe was not giving him 80 million euros, which is the loyalty bonus stipulated in the player’s contract to be renewed in 2022, which he was supposed to receive last February.
Al-Khelaifi wanted Mbappe to waive this amount and sign a document stating that, and although the matter was possible for a while, Mbappe’s camp returned and demanded the money and refused to waive.
The disputes have become more and more severe since last April, as Paris stopped giving Mbappe his salary, and the situation remains in place until June, which means that the 25-year-old has not received his salary for the last 3 months.
According to the report, Paris Saint-Germain owes a total of 98 million euros to Mbappe, and there is Al-Khelaifi’s intransigence in paying any of it to the player due to his decision to leave.
It is expected, especially because of the loyalty reward, that Mbappé’s camp will resort to the courts to obtain the money, and the situation between the two remains complicated, especially with what is said to have been completely cut off between the two parties in the past months.
