Mundo Deportivo reported that there is a clause in Bernardo Silva’s contract with Manchester City that puts him very close to moving to Barcelona next summer.
The Catalan club has always wanted to obtain the signature of Silva, who has expressed his desire on more than one occasion to wear the Barcelona shirt before the end of his career.
According to the latest report, starting in the summer of 2024, the Portuguese player can leave Manchester City in exchange for a release clause worth only 50 million euros.
What is interesting about this clause, and what makes it commensurate with Barcelona’s difficult economic situation, is the fact that Silva’s new club can pay this number in 3 installments.
All that Barcelona’s management is currently waiting for to move and try to include Silva is the position of new coach Hansi Flick on the deal, as the German may prefer to sign another player or support the inclusion of the 30-year-old.
