Al-Nasr lost its last chance to win a title this season, after it was defeated by Al-Hilal on penalties in the 2024 Saudi King’s Cup final.
The two teams tied 1-1 in regular and extra time, forcing a penalty shootout, during which Yassine Bounou saved two kicks and led Al Hilal to the title.
With this loss, the curtain falls on Al-Nassr’s season without a single official championship, after finishing second in the league and cup, bidding farewell to the AFC Champions League in the quarter-finals, and losing in the Super Cup semi-finals.
After a year and a half in Al-Nasr, Cristiano Ronaldo continues to fail to achieve any official championship with “Fares Najd”.
It is true that Al-Nasr won the Arab Club Championship title last summer, but it is a friendly competition not recognized by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).
In general, this is the fifth season in Cristiano Ronaldo’s long career during which he failed to achieve any group championship.
This season is also Ronaldo’s third season without championships, after the 2021-22 season with Manchester United, the 2022-23 season with United and Al-Nasr, and the recently ended season.
The Italian Cup title in the 2020-21 season is the last official title achieved by Ronaldo in his career, which witnessed him winning 33 titles.
