Bild newspaper claimed that Barcelona’s new coach Hansi Flick has asked Catalan club president Joan Laporta to sign Bayern Munich star Kingsley Coman next summer.
The French international is not the first name linked to Barcelona from Bayern Munich after Flick took over as coach of the Blaugrana, so rumors do not stop about attempts to include Joshua Kimmich.
According to the German newspaper, the close relationship between Flick and Koeman and how the player broke up with the coach during his era at Bayern Munich encourages the German to include him in Barcelona, especially in light of the need for a world-class left winger.
But it does not seem that contracting with Koeman will be easy for Barcelona, as the player’s contract is still extended at the Allianz Arena until the summer of 2027, and Bayern will not agree to sell him except for a large sum of money.
In general, Bayern may be open to selling Koeman in light of the great revolution undertaken by Max Eberle, but the crisis lies in Barcelona’s difficult economic situation, which prevents it from paying large sums to sign players next summer.
