Sky Sports reported that Joshua Kimmich feels that he is being insulted by Bayern Munich’s management because of the way it dealt with him regarding the renewal of his contract.
Kimmich’s contract with the Bavarian club expires in the summer of 2025, and so far the Bavarian club has not made its decision about renewing with him for another three years or selling him this summer instead of leaving for free next summer.
Kimmich was clear that he wanted to decide whether or not to renew his contract before the start of Euro 2024 so that he could focus fully on the German national team, but he was surprised by the reaction of the Bayern Munich management.
The German club, in turn, informed Kimmich that the renewal talks would be postponed until the return from Euro 2024, which made the player very angry.
The 29-year-old felt really insulted, as it is clear that the file is not among the priorities of the Bayern administration, and thus it is as if Kimmich is not an important player for the Bavarian club.
At the same time, Barcelona is the biggest beneficiary of what is happening, as the Catalan club, led by its new coach Hansi Flick, is ready to do everything in order to obtain Kimmich’s signature.
With the recent developments and Barcelona’s attempts to emphasize Kimmich’s value to them, it is assumed that things will find something new, meaning that the German will agree to wait until the economic situation improves and include him.
But the indication remains that Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and other English clubs may be interested in Kimmich, who currently appears closer to leaving Bayern than continuing.
