The Algerian national team succeeded in overturning a goal deficit into an important victory over its host Uganda national team with two goals, in the match of the fourth round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers on the continent of Africa.
In another group, the Egyptian national team settled for a draw with its host, Guinea Bissau, with a goal each, in a match from which the Pharaohs were able to emerge victorious in the final meters.
The fourth round of qualifiers ends on Wednesday, after which the qualifiers stop until March 2025.
The first-place finisher from each group qualifies directly to the 2026 World Cup, which is scheduled to be held in the United States of America, Mexico, and Canada, while the second-place finishers go through a playoff, with one team qualifying for the global playoff.
