After his disasters in Euro 2024… Lunin talks about his future with Real Madrid

Real Madrid goalkeeper Andrey Lunin kept the door open to the possibility of leaving the club when he said that anything could happen in the world of football.

Lunin’s statements came after his participation in his country’s match, Ukraine, against Romania in Euro 2024, during which he made two mistakes and caused two goals.

Ukraine lost 3-0 to Romania in a completely unexpected defeat in the group, which witnessed another major surprise with Belgium losing to Slovakia 1-0.

Lunin spoke after his mistakes, saying, “First of all, I would like to apologize to my teammates. I made the match difficult for them because of my mistakes.”

He also added, “All I can say now is I’m sorry, and I will start preparing with all my might for the next match.”

As for his future with Real Madrid, when asked about his desire to stay, he replied, “Yes, it is clear that I want to.”

He concluded, “But in this life you cannot know anything. Everything can happen (referring to the possibility of his departure).”
