Who is the player who became depressed because of Real Madrid?

Real Madrid is usually associated with players with glories and achievements, but some of them suffered so much at the Santiago Bernabeu to the point of thinking about retiring and leaving football.

One of those who suffered with Real Madrid was Brazilian Danilo, who confirmed that his journey with the Royal Club was hell in every sense of the word.

The current Juventus star said in media statements, “I suffered from depression in my first season with Real Madrid. I felt lost and useless.”

He also added about the reason, “I was not able to pass the ball even 5 meters forward. I was not moving correctly and I did not know how to do it. I was lost.”

He continued, “I lost my passion for football during that period to the point that I wanted to return to Brazil and retire.”

He concluded, “In the Alaves match in the 2016-2017 season, we won 4-1, but their goal came because of an error on my part. When I returned home, I wrote in my notebook that it was time to retire from football, and I was only 24 years old.”

It is noteworthy that Danilo played 56 matches with Real Madrid in all tournaments over two seasons, during which he succeeded in scoring 3 goals and making the same, and won the Spanish League title once, the Champions League twice, the Club World Cup once, and the European Super Cup once.

In 2017, Danilo left Real Madrid for Manchester City for 30 million euros, before moving from the English club to Juventus in the summer of 2019 for 37 million euros.
