Although he emphasized that he did not care much about the idea of winning the Ballon d’Or, Dani Carvajal considered that his nomination to win the precious award seemed very logical.
In an interview with AS newspaper, Carvajal said in this regard, “I’m not even thinking about the Ballon d’Or, but it’s clear that I had a good year, including on the offensive level.”
He also added, “If I perform well at Euro 2024 and Spain wins the tournament, I could be on the list of candidates. It will not be impossible.”
As for who he believes can win the Ballon d’Or, he said, “Vinicius and Bellingham, and if Mbappe wins the Euro, he will be among the candidates as well.”
He concluded, “As I said before, I am not thinking about the Ballon d’Or. My current plans are to give everything I have in the Euro and for us to reach the final in Berlin.”
