Officially… Barcelona confirms the departure of 3 stars!

Barcelona confirmed in an official statement the departure of the trio, Joao Felix, Joao Cancelo and Marcos Alonso, from the Catalan club by July 1.

The loan of Felix and Cancelo from Atletico Madrid and Manchester City, respectively, ended, while Alonso’s contract expired, and it was agreed between the two parties not to renew it.

It is assumed that this will not be the end of the story of the Portuguese duo with Barcelona, as sporting director Deco will work to include them again in the Blaugrana next season.

Atletico Madrid is asking for a very high value to agree to sell Felix and rejects the idea of renewing his loan, while City wants at least 30 million euros to give up its right-back.

Everything will depend in the coming period only on Barcelona’s financial situation, and whether the Blaugrana is able to pump money and make deals that are in line with the rules of fair financial play.

It is noteworthy that Catalan newspapers previously indicated that Hansi Flick wants to keep Felix and Cancelo, but he can adapt if the administration fails to buy their contract.

From a practical standpoint, Joao Cancelo’s survival seems the most realistic, while Atletico Madrid’s demands regarding Joao Felix represent a very big obstacle to the 25-year-old staying at Camp Nou.
