Former Al Hilal star and legend Salman Al-Faraj has become the talk of the hour in Saudi football, after rumors about his approaching transfer to the Blue Wave’s eternal rival, Al-Nassr.
Al-Faraj did not renew his contract with Al-Hilal at the end of last season after 16 years spent within Al-Zaeem, during which he became the most decorated in the club’s history, with 24 championships.
Saudi newspapers said that there were serious negotiations between Al-Faraj and Al-Nassr in the past hours that may end successfully and the Saudi international will wear the “Al-Alamy” shirt for at least two years.
According to the Saudi newspaper Al-Youm, Al-Nassr has given Al-Faraj a 24-hour deadline, ending on Friday evening, in order to make his final decision on whether to accept or reject the offer presented to him.
At the same time, Al-Nassr is not the only club interested in Al-Faraj. According to the report, there are 3 offers on the player’s table, one of which comes from NEOM, one of the Yellow League (second division) teams.
The 34-year-old player announced through his Snapchat account on Thursday that he will return to Riyadh within 3 days and will then sign with his new club.
