Barcelona star Raphinha has stressed his commitment to remain with the Catalan club next season despite receiving strong offers, especially from Saudi clubs.
Over the past months, it has been said that Barcelona is looking for an exit for Raphinha in order to bring in a large sum of money that will help the club make major signings this summer.
The Brazilian international’s name was specifically linked with Saudi club Al-Hilal, with some Catalan newspapers even reporting that the “Blue Wave” could pay 90 million euros to sign the 27-year-old.
However, Raphinha took to his Instagram account and sent a clear message that he is staying with Barcelona, as he celebrated the second anniversary of his joining the Camp Nou.
Barcelona published a picture of Raphinha and wrote: “Two years of Rafa”, and the Brazilian re-posted it and wrote: “We are now going for the third”, closing the door on the rumors and confirming his continuity with the Blaugrana.
With Raphinha’s confirmation of his stay, questions are mounting about how Barcelona will finance its dream signing this summer, Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao, as Joan Laporta’s administration needs to sell at least one player to be able to comply with fair play regulations and sign the Euro 2024 star.
