Real Madrid typically supports one of its players to win the award, and now with two of their players in contention, questions have arisen about who the club’s management believes is more deserving of support for the Ballon d’Or.
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti may have indirectly revealed the club’s direction after choosing who he believes deserves the Ballon d’Or, which is the Brazilian Vinicius.
The Italian coach told the media, “I think Vinicius will win the Ballon d’Or. He is a talented player and has performed very well last season.”
He continued, “Bellingham has also performed brilliantly last season and was the best player in La Liga, and Carvajal has excelled in all aspects.”
He concluded, “You can ask the players what they prefer, winning the Champions League or the Ballon d’Or, and they will choose the Champions League.”
