Flick confirms Barcelona’s stance on signing a midfielder

Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has confirmed that he does not need to sign a new midfielder, pointing out that Barça already has a large number of players in that position.

It was said that after Barcelona secured the deal for Dani Olmo, they might look to sign a new midfielder, especially after the collapse of the Nico Williams deal.

When asked about it after the friendly match against Milan, the German replied, “I think we have enough players in that position.”

Regarding Olmo, he simply said, “This is not the day to talk about Olmo, it’s the day for my goal-scorer Robert Lewandowski, he deserved to score them considering how he fought for it.”

Regarding the friendly tour, he said, “The result was very positive, we have young players with enormous quality and some of them have managed to develop and adapt to what we ask of them.”

He concluded, “We have 10 days left before the league starts, we are on the right track.”

It is worth noting that Barcelona lost on penalties to Milan after a 2-2 draw in regular time, and will play a final friendly match against Monaco before visiting Valencia in the league opener on August 17.
