Former Real Madrid star James Rodríguez believes that Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham are not deserving of winning the 2024 Ballon d’Or.
The Colombian star believes that another Real Madrid player, right-back Dani Carvajal, is more deserving of this award.
James justified his choices by saying, “If it’s determined based on titles, then Dani Carvajal is the most deserving, he has achieved everything and played well.”
He added, “Bellingham? I don’t know, to be honest. As for Vinicius, he didn’t perform well in the Copa America.”
Carvajal won the Spanish league with Real Madrid and scored a goal in the Champions League final, before excelling and helping Spain win Euro 2024.
Currently, the battle is intensifying between Vinicius, Bellingham, and to a lesser extent Rodrygo, for the Ballon d’Or, the winner of which is scheduled to be announced in October.
