Prominent Premier League Player Suspended for Drug Use

Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has announced that Yves Bissouma has been suspended for one match after a video surfaced of him appearing to use drugs.

The Mali international was seen in a video inhaling nitrous oxide, a Class C drug that is illegal in the UK.

Postecoglou said in a press conference ahead of the Leicester City match, “We have decided to suspend Bissouma and he will not play in Monday’s game.”

He added, “Bissouma will need to rebuild trust with me and the group. The door is open for him but behavior is fundamental and crucial for us.”

Bissouma, 27, joined Tottenham in the summer of 2022 and has since made 56 appearances, without scoring or assisting a goal.
