Signs of anger were clearly visible on Cristiano Ronaldo after Al-Nassr’s 1-1 draw in their opening match of the Saudi Pro League against Al-Raed on Thursday.
According to the “Al Mayadeen” newspaper, Ronaldo acted strangely by not leaving Al-Awwal Park Stadium after the end of the match and refused to enter the dressing room for a while.
On Friday morning, Ronaldo issued a strong message to Al-Nassr and its fans through his social media accounts.
The 39-year-old wrote, “We will never give up! Our determination knows no bounds.”
The events of the Al-Raed match came after the heavy criticism Ronaldo faced for refusing to accept the silver medal for the Super Cup following the 4-1 defeat to Al-Hilal.
Al-Nassr is expected to undergo a number of changes in the coming days, most notably the dismissal of coach Luis Castro due to poor results since the start of the new season’s preparations.
