ESPN claims that the option of moving to the Saudi league has not been completely ruled out by Vinicius Junior as previously stated this month.
Spanish media had revealed that Vinicius received a monstrous offer from Al-Ahli this summer, but the player closed the door and confirmed his preference to stay with Real Madrid.
However, the surprising thing in the latest report is that the idea of leaving Real and joining the Saudi league is haunting Vinicius, and this could happen in the summer of 2025 rather than this current summer.
The Brazilian international aims to win the Ballon d’Or next October, and for this reason, he has chosen to stay with Real Madrid this season and postponed considering a move to the Roshn League until next summer.
Once the Ballon d’Or is decided, Vinicius will start studying the Saudi option, especially since the financial offer was legendary in every sense of the word, as he will earn 350 million euros annually, making him the highest-paid athlete in the world.
Perhaps this news will accelerate Real Madrid’s management’s moves in the coming months to increase Vinicius’s salary and renew his contract, which extends until the summer of 2027, as previously indicated by the newspaper “AS”.
If the 23-year-old’s contract is not renewed, Real Madrid’s management may succumb to the Saudi financial temptation and agree to sell Vinicius next summer to end this saga quickly.
