Al-Ahli Saudi Arabia has reached an agreement with Napoli to sign Victor Osimhen, but the player has rejected the initial offer from the “Castle of Cups”.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Al-Ahli was ready to pay more than 65 million euros to sign the Nigerian striker, and Napoli actually accepted the offer.
But the Saudi club failed to reach an agreement with Osimhen himself, due to financial differences on the one hand, and contract details on the other.
Romano confirms that the major crisis between Osimhen and Al-Ahli is the player’s demand for a release clause in the contract that would allow him to return to Europe whenever he wants.
Al-Ahli management rejects this idea, while the salary offered to Osimhen still does not meet his ambitions.
The initial rejection does not mean the collapse of the deal, as negotiations are expected to resume, and Al-Ahli’s management may show flexibility in including the release clause, with Osimhen being the latest star to join the Roshn League.
