Once again, Cristiano Ronaldo confirmed that he does not intend to retire internationally soon, and that his career with the Portuguese national team will continue despite all the criticism.
Al-Nassr star was subjected to a wave of attacks following his performances in Euro 2024 after failing to score even a single goal in the competition.
In a promo for a media interview that will be broadcast soon, Ronaldo was asked about his decision to retire internationally, to answer by saying, “I am very proud to represent the Portuguese national team, it is a dream, and for this reason I will not tell anyone when I decide to retire internationally.”
He also added, “It will be a very spontaneous decision on my part, but it is a decision that requires a lot of thought. Now what I want is to help the national team in the upcoming matches.”
As for whether he will head into coaching after retiring from football, he said, “I do not see my future heading there, I see myself doing other things outside of football, but no one knows about the future.”
Ronaldo is expected to continue playing football until the 2026 World Cup, after which he will retire at the age of 41.
