Al Hilal has reached an agreement with Manchester City management to sign Joao Cancelo, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Blue Wave is looking to strengthen the right-back position after Saud Abdul Hamid moved to Roma for 3 million euros.
According to the report, Al Hilal offered Manchester City 25 million euros for Cancelo, an offer that was accepted by the English club’s management.
However, so far the Portuguese player has not made his final decision regarding moving to Al Hilal or continuing in Europe, and negotiations are ongoing between him and the Saudi club officials to resolve the issue within the next few hours.
If Cancelo accepts the Saudi offer, he will receive 70 million euros throughout the duration of the contract that he will sign for 3 years.
At the same time, Al Hilal’s moves will not stop there, after German media reported the management’s move to sign Bayern Munich star Kingsley Coman.
Coman is out of Bayern Munich’s calculations, and the player himself is now looking for a way out and has many offers from the English Premier League as well as great interest from Barcelona.
Al-Hilal entered strongly to sign the French international, so much so that German newspapers described the Saudi offer to Coman as “astronomical”, but the player has not yet made his decision.
Al-Hilal will not find it difficult to reach an agreement with Bayern Munich’s management on the financial compensation, as the Bavarians need to sell the player in order to balance the economic figures.
