Liverpool coach Arne Slot expressed his great happiness with the amazing levels presented by Mohamed Salah this season.
The Egyptian international contributed 3 goals against Manchester United, and in total he scored 3 goals this season in the Premier League and is the second top scorer behind Erling Haaland.
Salah came out after the United match and said that Liverpool had not negotiated with him to renew his contract yet, so this is his last season with the Reds.
Slot was asked about this and he replied, “I don’t talk about player contracts but I can talk for hours about performance, are you interested in that?”
He added, “At this moment he is one of us and I am really happy that he is one of us, he is playing really well.”
Slot’s talk means in one way or another that he welcomes the 32-year-old Salah to continue, contrary to what was circulated that the Dutch coach wants the player to leave due to his advanced age.
