Press reports indicated that the Saudi Al-Ittihad club made a surprise offer to Arsenal to sign its player Leandro Trossard.
According to what was indicated by the famous journalist Fabrizio Romano, Al-Ittihad is ready to pay 35 million euros to sign the Belgian star.
The Athletic network revealed that Al-Ittihad’s offer is to get Trossard on loan for a year for 5 million euros, with a mandatory purchase clause next summer.
Arsenal immediately responded by rejecting the offer made to its player, although the financial value seems tempting considering Trossard is 29 years old.
Mikel Arteta rejected the idea of giving up Trossard, and considered that this would undermine the Gunners’ chances of achieving the Premier League this season.
Al-Ittihad then moved and sent an official offer to Porto of Portugal to sign Brazilian Wenderson Galeno.
The Saudi club will pay 45 million euros as a fixed fee, in addition to 5 million in bonuses. The offer has been approved by Porto and the deal is expected to be completed very soon.
