Surprise.. Mbappe agreed to join Liverpool before Real Madrid!

The newspaper “L’Equipe” revealed that Kylian Mbappe had reached an agreement with the Liverpool management to join the Reds in the summer of 2022.

The French international had renewed his contract before that and in the same year with Paris Saint-Germain, and received promises from Nasser Al-Khelaifi’s management of major signings in the summer Mercato.

But in reality, the PSG management did not fulfill its promises to sign Robert Lewandowski and Bernardo Silva, which angered Mbappe a lot and made him leave.

According to “L’Equipe”, Mbappe wanted to leave Paris during the summer of 2022, and he actually reached an agreement with Liverpool to sign a short-term contract at Anfield Stadium.

Mbappe’s anger and desire to leave at the time reached the point that he did not play Paris’ first match of the season against Clermont Foot to force Al-Khelaifi to accept his sale to the Reds.

Mbappe’s agreement with Liverpool was for a two-year contract only so that he could then achieve his biggest dream of moving to Real Madrid.

The English club’s management actually agreed to this matter, and even submitted an offer of 200 million euros to Paris Saint-Germain to close the deal, but the French club stipulated doubling this amount, and with it Liverpool’s hopes of signing Mbappe ended.

The French international stayed with Paris for two years until he left for free in the summer of 2024 and moved to Real Madrid.
