Threat to Real Madrid before their first Champions League match

Stuttgart returned to winning ways once again after beating hosts Borussia Mönchengladbach 3-1 in the third round of the Bundesliga.

Stuttgart took the lead through Dennis Undav, before Gladbach equalized through Alhassan Belea, and then in the second half Ermin Demirovic scored two goals to lead his team to the three points.

This is the first win achieved by the southern club this season in the German league, after losing to Freiburg 3-1 and then drawing with Mainz 2-2.

Perhaps this win is of utmost importance to Sebastian Hoeness’s squad, which is preparing to travel to the Spanish capital to set a date with Real Madrid in the first round of the Champions League.

This victory may be a threat to Real Madrid that the Bundesliga runner-up has regained its health after the modest start to the season, and that it will not be an easy opponent in the match next Tuesday.

It remains to be noted that Stuttgart is participating in the Champions League for the first time in 14 years, noting that its last match in the “Big Ears” was against Barcelona at Camp Nou, which it lost 4-0.
