Cristiano Ronaldo bid farewell to Luis Castro after his recent dismissal from his position as coach of Al-Nassr Club.
The 1-1 draw with Al-Shorta in the AFC Champions League for the Elite led to Castro’s dismissal in light of the series of negative results with Al-Nassr this season.
Ronaldo enjoyed a special relationship with Castro, and it is said that the reason for the delay in dismissing him until now is that the Portuguese player refused the idea of releasing his coach.
Ultimately, the Al-Nassr management was forced to dismiss Castro due to poor results, but Ronaldo came out on social media and decided to bid farewell to his former coach.
The 39-year-old simply posted a picture of him with Castro and wrote on it “Thank you for everything.”
Saudi media indicated that Ronaldo was the one who suggested Castro’s name to coach Al-Nassr last season.
Castro led Al-Nassr in 54 matches, winning 36 matches, drawing 9 matches and losing the same number.
It is noteworthy that the Italian Stefano Pioli is currently the most likely to succeed Castro after the Al-Nassr management entered into negotiations with him in recent days.
