Al-Nassr officially announced the completion of the contract with Stefano Pioli to succeed Luis Castro in coaching the team.
According to Saudi media, the Italian coach signed a contract to coach Al-Nassr for two years with the possibility of renewal for another year.
Pioli has a distinguished career in the world of coaching, and his last experience was with Milan, where he won the Italian League title once in 2021.
This will be Pioli’s first experience outside Italy, after coaching many major clubs in addition to Milan, such as Inter, Lazio and Fiorentina.
Pioli is not expected to be on the bench for Al-Nassr in the Al-Ettifaq match next Friday, and he will start his work after that.
It is noteworthy that Al-Nassr dismissed Castro after achieving only 5 points in the first 3 rounds of the Saudi League, in addition to a draw with the Iraqi police in the AFC Champions League for the elite.
