Bernardo Silva mocks Arsenal: They haven’t won anything

Manchester City star Bernardo Silva believes that there is a fundamental difference between competing with Arsenal and Liverpool, namely that the Gunners have never won everything.

The Portuguese international’s statements came after City and Arsenal drew 2-2 in the fifth round of the Premier League at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

Silva said, “Liverpool have already won the English Premier League, Arsenal haven’t.”

He also added, “Liverpool have also won the Champions League, but Arsenal have never done that.”

He concluded, “When we face Liverpool, they go into the match and play in a way to win, that doesn’t happen with Arsenal.”

Perhaps Silva means that Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta has adopted a defensive approach in all his matches against City, the last of which was on Sunday, when he spent the entire second half in his defensive areas but conceded a goal in the last minute.
