Liverpool manager Arne Slot has confirmed that goalkeeper Alisson will continue to miss the Reds’ matches due to injury.
The Brazilian international was unable to play in Saturday’s Premier League match against Bournemouth after sustaining an injury in the Champions League match against Milan.
The Reds face a tough task in the EFL Cup when they face West Ham on Tuesday evening.
In his pre-match press conference, Slot said of Alisson’s situation: “It’s definitely Kelleher who will be our goalkeeper against West Ham.”
He added: “Alisson is improving, but I think this game comes a bit early for him, he’s definitely not even on the bench tomorrow.”
Slot revealed that work is currently underway to get Alisson back to full fitness and fit for next week’s Premier League match against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
