Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has set a date for his captain Martin Odegaard to return to training and participate in the Gunners’ matches this season.
Odegaard suffered a serious ankle injury while participating with the Norwegian national team in the European Nations League this September.
According to the Spanish coach, Odegaard only needs a few weeks to return after confirming that his injury is not as serious as previously expected.
Arteta has set the date after the international break in October as the closest date for the Norwegian international to return to participate with Arsenal.
Arsenal will play a match with Bolton on Wednesday in the League Cup, then face Leicester City in the Premier League, Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, and Southampton in the Premier League, before the international break begins.
If Arteta’s prediction is correct, Odegaard should be ready to participate starting with the Bournemouth match, scheduled for October 19 at the Vitality Stadium.
