The draw for the round of 16 of the Saudi King’s Cup was held on Thursday evening, which resulted in some fiery confrontations.
The round of 32 witnessed the biggest surprise with the exit of Al-Ahli, the most crowned with the title, after losing to Al-Jandal, one of the second division teams, 2-1 in Jeddah.
The draw placed Al-Jandal with another opponent from the big Jeddah teams, Al-Ittihad, in a match that will not be easy for the Dean, especially after the great mockery that its fans made of Al-Ahly.
As for Al-Nassr, the draw was really difficult for it after it dropped it in a match against Al-Taawoun, one of the strongest Saudi teams in the last two years.
The title holder Al-Hilal will meet Al-Ta’ee, with a mini-derby for the capital between Al-Shabab and Al-Riyadh.
The round of 16 matches are scheduled to be played on October 28 and 29.
