Bayern Munich announced in an official statement the condition of Harry Kane after the injury he sustained in the match against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday in the Bundesliga.
Kane suffered a strong ankle tackle during the match that ended in a 1-1 draw, leaving the field in the 83rd minute and being replaced by Thomas Muller.
According to Bayern Munich’s statement, the English star is suffering from a painful blow to his ankle.
The German club added that the examinations conducted by the medical department on Sunday revealed a positive development, but did not specify the duration of Kane’s absence from the stadiums.
According to German media, Kane is only threatened with missing the Aston Villa match next Wednesday in the Champions League.
But in general, the 29-year-old’s injury is not major, and his absence from the stadiums is not expected to extend for more than a week.
Thus, Kane is certain to participate after the international break in the Stuttgart match on October 19, and will be ready – unless he finds something new – for the Barcelona match scheduled for October 23 in the Champions League.
