Egyptian media reported that Al-Ahly star Mohamed Hany may be out of action for 3 months due to injury.
Hany left the match against Zamalek in the African Super Cup with an injury to his left foot during the first half despite all his attempts to continue on the field.
According to an official statement from Al-Ahly, the right-back suffered a tear in the posterior cruciate ligament of the knee, and will begin a rehabilitation program in the coming days.
In principle, Mohamed Hany will need at least 6 weeks to recover, and this period may increase to 3 months depending on his response to the treatment program.
Hany is therefore certain to miss the Egyptian Super Cup in the Emirates scheduled for October 20, in addition to the match against Al-Ain in the Intercontinental Cup on the 29th, as well as the start of the Egyptian League.
It is noteworthy that Mohamed Hani was a key player last season with Al-Ahly and contributed to winning the Egyptian Premier League and Champions League double. He also started this season well by participating as a key player in the two matches against Gor Mahia in the Champions League and then the Super Cup against Zamalek.
