La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Sir Alex Ferguson has determined his preferred option to coach the Red Devils in the coming period for Manchester United management.
The future of coach Erik Ten Hag is at stake in light of the decline in United’s results, the latest of which was a 3-0 defeat to Tottenham in the Premier League.
According to the Italian newspaper, Ferguson has nominated the United management to sign Massimiliano Allegri to succeed Ten Hag.
The Italian coach is currently without a club since he was dismissed from coaching Juventus last May, and he recently rejected an offer from Roma to coach the capital team to succeed the dismissed Daniele De Rossi.
Ferguson’s choice of Allegri may be a bit strange given Juventus’ disastrous performance with him in the last two years and his failure to achieve any noteworthy achievement in his second term with the Bianconeri.
In general, the English newspapers are proposing many names to succeed Ten Hag, led by Graham Potter, the former Chelsea coach, and Thomas Tuchel, the former Bayern Munich coach, with the possibility of giving Ruud Van Nistelrooy the opportunity to coach the Red Devils as well.
