Former Real Madrid star moves to Malaysian league

Former Real Madrid star Jese Rodriguez has completed his move to Malaysian club Johor Darul Ta’zim on a free transfer.

Jese is a Real Madrid player who made his way to the first team in 2013, staying there for three years but suffering from a number of injuries that severely hampered his career.

The 31-year-old has played for several European clubs, moving from Real Madrid to Paris Saint-Germain in 2016 for €25 million.

After Paris, Jese played for Las Palmas, Stoke City, Real Betis, Sporting Lisbon, Las Palmas again, Ankaragucu and Sampdoria, and his last experience was in Brazil with Coritiba.

Johor Darul Ta’zim is one of Malaysia’s most prestigious clubs, and is participating in the AFC Champions League this season, where it occupies second place in the East Group with four points from the first two rounds.
