Real Madrid star Federico Valverde believes that Vinicius Junior, Kylian Mbappé or Jude Bellingham are not the most deserving of the 2024 Ballon d’Or.
The winner of the most prestigious individual award in football will be announced on Monday, October 28, at a grand ceremony in the French capital, Paris.
For Valverde, his idol and close friend Toni Kroos is the most deserving of the Ballon d’Or after the amazing performances he put in for Real Madrid before retiring at the end of last season.
The Uruguayan international said in this regard: “I would not hesitate to give my vote to Kroos to win the Ballon d’Or.”
He added: “He is a great player and a great person, his technical and tactical qualities on the pitch are amazing.”
He concluded: “In Paris we will see who will win the award, but I am happy to be on the shortlist, I certainly hope to achieve it one day.”
