Pogba is close to joining one of the European giants

French press reports indicated that Paul Pogba is in advanced negotiations with one of the major French clubs to join them in the upcoming winter transfer market.

Pogba’s suspension penalty was reduced to 18 months instead of 4 years, and therefore he can return to the stadiums again starting next March.

According to Italian media, Juventus and Pogba are in talks to terminate the player’s contract that extends until the summer of 2026, and thus the player has the right to join any club for free in January.

The latest reports from France revealed that Marseille’s sporting director, Mehdi Benatia, is in negotiations with Pogba’s representatives in the hope of signing the 31-year-old for free.

The southern French club hopes to reach an agreement with Pogba soon so that he can start training with Roberto De Zerbi’s squad next January and participate in the final part of the season starting in March.

It is noteworthy that Pogba has never played in the French League, as he grew up with Manchester United and then moved to Juventus before returning to Old Trafford, and then returned again to the Old Lady in 2021.
