Former Barcelona player Sergino Dest has attacked Xavi Hernandez, considering that he was a “liar” with him.
During Xavi’s era as coach of the Blaugrana, Barcelona loaned Dest to Milan, before returning in the summer of 2023 at the end of the loan.
The Dutchman did not spend much time there after that, as he was loaned again to PSV Eindhoven last season.
Dest commented on this by saying, “Xavi was never honest with me.”
He also added, “Before we went on vacation, he told me clearly that he would rely on me for the new season and that I should only listen to what was being said in the media.”
He continued, “When we returned from vacation, he told me that you had to find another club.”
He concluded, “I do not regret my experience at Barcelona, I think that I did not get the necessary opportunities with Xavi, he restricted me, it was not me, I wanted to participate in the attack because it is my greatest advantage, but he asked me to stay back.”
It is noteworthy that Dest left Barcelona for free this summer to settle in Eindhoven, and he is now recovering from a cruciate ligament injury.
