In clear terms, Neymar confirmed that his compatriot and Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior is the most deserving of winning the Golden Ball 2024.
The Ballon d’or Awards ceremony is scheduled to be held on Monday, October 28, and there is fierce competition between Vinicius, Rodri and Kylian Mbappe.
When Neymar was asked about his opinion on who deserves the Golden Ball, he replied, “I am with Vinicius Junior winning it, there is no one more deserving than him.”
He also added, “He is a fighter, he has suffered a lot throughout his life, and now he is succeeding in exceeding all expectations and overcoming criticism and ridicule.”
He concluded, “Today, Vinicius has become a great role model and a great hero for us.”
It is worth noting that Neymar has never won the Golden Ball, but 4 Brazilians have achieved the feat before, namely Ronaldinho, Romario, Kaka and Ronaldo Nazario.
