Shocking decision .. Manchester United terminates Sir Alex Ferguson’s contract!

Manchester United owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, informed the Red Devils’ historic coach, Sir Alex Ferguson, of the termination of his contract as an ambassador for the club.

According to the Daily Mail, the reason behind the termination of the contract between the two parties, which came by mutual consent, is the desire of the new United management to reduce expenses as much as possible.

Ferguson has been receiving 2.16 million pounds annually from his work as an ambassador for the club since he left the team’s training in 2013 until now.

Ratcliffe met with Ferguson face to face, and it was clear to him that the management must reduce expenses, and therefore the club is not prepared to pay him this huge salary again.

In any case, Manchester United’s doors will remain open to Ferguson, as he will continue to work as a non-executive director without pay, in addition to giving him the opportunity to attend matches whenever he wants.
