Saudi media reported that the Saudi national team coach Roberto Mancini is more vulnerable to dismissal than ever before.
Saudi Arabia failed to achieve victory during the last international break, after losing to Japan 2-0 in Jeddah, and drawing with Bahrain in Jeddah also in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Despite what the head of the Saudi Federation, Yasser Al-Misehal, confirmed in supporting Mancini, the performance of the team against Bahrain and the overwhelming public anger against him may lead to a decision to dismiss him.
According to Saudi reports, the closest thing currently is to replace Mancini with a Saudi national coach.
The Saudi Football Federation is heading to appoint Saleh Al-Muhammadi, who currently works as a coach for Al-Hazm Club in the second division, as the coach of the Greens in the coming period.
Al-Mohammadi previously worked with the Saudi national team under Al-Mohammadi worked as an assistant coach in the Saudi national team under 20 and under 23 years from 2016 to 2017, then took over the coaching of the under 23 team for a year, and finally the under 20 team until last year.
