Kroos responds: Will he win the 2024 Ballon d’Or?

Real Madrid star Toni Kroos has confirmed that he doesn’t care much about winning the 2024 Ballon d’Or.

Demands for Kroos to win the Ballon d’Or are increasing given the exceptional performance he has shown in his last football seasons with Real Madrid and with Germany at Euro 2024.

However, the competition seems to be fierce only between the duo Vinicius Junior and Rodri, and Kroos reiterated that individual awards don’t interest him at all.

The German international said in press statements, “I’m not interested in the Ballon d’Or, and if one of the Real Madrid players wins it, it will be completely deserved.”

He also added, “Vinicius deserves to win the Ballon d’Or, as well as Bellingham and Carvajal, they all deserve the award, but I don’t care much.”

He concluded by talking about his decision to retire, “I am convinced of the decision to retire and I feel fine. It was a difficult decision, but if I make a decision, it will be with complete conviction.”
