The Egyptian Clubs Association held the draw for the Egyptian League 2024-25 competition with its new system on Saturday evening.
According to the association, the person responsible for scheduling the Egyptian League for this season will be a German company, and the league will be regular and not like the last five seasons.
The new Egyptian League system
The Egyptian League will be held exceptionally with a new system.
The new Egyptian League system will be one round, with each team playing 17 matches.
Based on the league standings after the first round, the tournament will be divided into two groups, the crowning group, which includes the first 9 teams, and the relegation group, which includes the last 9 teams.
Each team will play 8 matches in each group to determine the champion, runner-up and participants in the Confederation Cup, in addition to only two clubs that will be relegated to the second division instead of 3.
Egyptian League Matches Schedule 2024-25
According to the announcement of the head of the Egyptian Clubs Association, Ahmed Diab, the Egyptian League matches for this season will start on October 30, 2024.
Only the first round matches have been announced, until its end, along with the schedule of the crowning and relegation matches will be announced.
The end of the Egyptian League is scheduled to be on May 30, 2025, with the Egyptian League Cup matches being held until June 10.
