Bayern Munich announced in an official statement that its star Aleksander Pavlovic suffered a severe injury to his shoulder during the Stuttgart match on Saturday.
The German international left the match after only 8 minutes after a collision with Deniz Undav, which caused him to fall hard on his shoulder.
According to the statement, Pavlovic suffers from a broken collarbone and will undergo further examinations to determine the duration of his absence from the stadiums and whether he will need surgery.
In principle, the newspaper “Bild” expects that Pavlovic will be absent from Bayern Munich for at least 6 weeks, meaning that he will return in mid-December.
Thus, it is confirmed that the 20-year-old will not play in Bayern Munich’s next match on Wednesday against Barcelona in the Champions League.
Pavlovic’s injury is a big blow for coach Vincent Kompany amid Bayern’s long injury list, which includes Jamal Musiala, Hiroki Ito, Sasha Boye and Josip Stanisic.
