Unbelievable Insolence.. Revealing the reason for Al-Ahly’s harsh penalty against Kahraba

Al-Ahly announced in an urgent statement on Monday morning that Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim “Kahraba” was excluded from playing in the upcoming match against Zamalek in the Egyptian Super Cup final, and that he would be immediately returned to Cairo.

According to the statement published at seven in the morning, Al-Ahly’s sports director, Mohamed Ramadan, decided to impose a fine of one million pounds on Kahraba as well.

Kahraba participated in part of his team’s match against Ceramica Cleopatra on Sunday, and after the match, what Al-Ahly’s statement described as “events” occurred that were the reason for this penalty.

Egyptian media reported that the reason for Kahraba’s exclusion and the heavy fine he received came after he insulted coach Marcel Koller after the Ceramica match.

It all started before the match when Kahraba found himself on the bench despite Koller’s decision to exclude Wissam Abu Ali from the starting lineup. The player felt angry that the Swiss had relied on Taher Mohamed Taher in the striker position instead of him, which meant that he had become the third choice.

After the final whistle, Kahraba refused to shake hands with Kohler, and it got to the point that he attacked the coach in protest of his technical decisions, so Mohamed Ramadan intervened between them to calm the situation down and prevent it from getting worse.

But Kahraba did not calm down much, and during the technical lecture after the match, the player attacked the coach again and spoke loudly, then left the locker room without permission and in a state of great anger.

After everything that happened, Mohamed Ramadan’s decision came immediately and after consulting the Al-Ahly Board of Directors headed by Mahmoud Al-Khatib, to impose a heavy penalty on the player in order to impose discipline.

It remains to be noted that this is the second time that Kahraba has been fined one million pounds, as it happened previously 3 years ago when he quarreled with captain Mohamed El-Shennawy.
