Fenerbahce coach, Jose Mourinho, expressed his great respect for Manchester United before facing the English club in the Europa League on Thursday.
The “Special One” previously worked as a coach for United for two and a half years in an experience that is not considered the most successful for the Portuguese coach.
In the press conference before the United match, Mourinho was asked about his period with the Red Devils, to answer by saying, “I wish all the best to United, I was happy there and we succeeded in winning the Europa League and achieving second place in the league.”
He also added, “I left United with good feelings towards the club and the fans, if United’s conditions worsen, it is impossible for me to be happy.”
At the same time, Mourinho demanded that he get his money from the English club in the event that Manchester City is punished by withdrawing the 2017-18 Premier League title due to breaching the Financial Fair Play rules.
Mourinho concluded: “I think United still have a chance to win the league if City are punished, in which case I want the gold medal and they want me to be paid the title bonus!”.
It is worth noting that Manchester City are threatened with relegation to the fourth tier and the withdrawal of several titles from it if it is proven that it has breached the rules of financial fair play, and the club is currently facing 115 different cases in this regard.
